Storm damage gets worse with every rain
An opened-up roof doesn’t wait for good weather. Each rainfall can add:
More water in the attic
Soaked insulation
Ceiling and drywall damage
Mold from trapped moisture
A bigger repair bill
If shingles are gone after a windstorm or a branch has come through the deck, get it tarped first — then decide on the permanent fix without pressure.
Emergency call-outs we handle
Same-day tarping
Stop the water first. The damaged area is tarped the same day you call.
Wind-lifted and missing shingles
Shingles gone after a windstorm, secured or replaced.
Impact damage
A branch through the deck — assessed, closed up, and kept dry.
Leak control
Trace where the water is getting in and stop it spreading further.
The permanent repair
Once it’s dry and daylight, you get a written quote for the proper fix — no pressure at 9pm.

The person doing the work
You deal with Dan
I started Summit Ridge Roofing here in Markham in 2011. We don’t use subcontractors — the crew that quotes your roof is the crew that does the work. You get a written estimate before anything starts, photos when it’s finished, and a direct number if something isn’t right.

How the job runs
01 — Tell us what’s going on
Call, text or request an estimate online. Describe what you’re seeing — photos help.
02 — We assess the problem
We come out, get on the roof where it’s safe to, and find the cause — not just the symptom.
03 — Get your options
We explain what needs to be done and give you a written estimate. If it’s a repair, we’ll tell you it’s a repair.
04 — We fix it
The crew completes the work and cleans up afterward.
Common questions
How fast can you get here?
Call and describe what you’re seeing. Dan calls back the same day, or the next morning if it’s after 7pm. If water is coming in right now, call instead of waiting on a form. We tarp the damaged area the same day to stop the water.
What does tarping actually do?
It stops the water tonight. The tarp buys time so the permanent repair can be assessed and quoted properly in daylight instead of decided under pressure.
How much does emergency work cost?
It depends on the damage. We stop the water first, then give you a written quote for the permanent repair — you decide the next step without pressure.
Do you do the permanent repair too?
Yes. The tarp is step one; the repair is quoted in daylight and done properly.
Do you provide free estimates?
Yes — call, text or request one online. You get a written quote with the work spelled out, and no obligation.
What areas do you service?
We work across Markham, Unionville, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, Stouffville, Vaughan, Scarborough and North York.
