Bad drainage causes damage that gets blamed on the roof
Undersized, blocked or sagging troughs push water where it shouldn’t go:
Overflow at the eaves
Rotted fascia boards
Stained siding
Water at the foundation
Blocked soffit vents overheating the attic
If water pours over the trough in the rain or the fascia is going soft, it’s worth fixing before the wood and the foundation take the hit.
Eavestrough, soffit & fascia services
Eavestrough replacement
5-inch and 6-inch troughs, sized to the roof that feeds them.
Fascia repair
Rotted fascia boards replaced before they let go of the trough.
Soffit venting
Blocked soffit vents opened up so the attic can breathe.
Downspouts
Runoff directed away from the foundation, not dumped beside it.
Leaf guard
Guards fitted so the troughs stay clear season to season.

The person doing the work
You deal with Dan
I started Summit Ridge Roofing here in Markham in 2011. We don’t use subcontractors — the crew that quotes your roof is the crew that does the work. You get a written estimate before anything starts, photos when it’s finished, and a direct number if something isn’t right.

How the job runs
01 — Tell us what’s going on
Call, text or request an estimate online. Describe what you’re seeing — photos help.
02 — We assess the problem
We come out, get on the roof where it’s safe to, and find the cause — not just the symptom.
03 — Get your options
We explain what needs to be done and give you a written estimate. If it’s a repair, we’ll tell you it’s a repair.
04 — We fix it
The crew completes the work and cleans up afterward.
Common questions
Do I need 5-inch or 6-inch troughs?
It depends on the roof area feeding them — a big, steep roof overwhelms 5-inch troughs. We size them to the roof, not to habit.
Water pours over the eavestrough in the rain — why?
Blocked, undersized, or pitched wrong. Sometimes the fix is a clean-out, sometimes a re-hang, sometimes bigger troughs. We tell you which before you spend anything.
Do you install leaf guards?
Yes. Guards keep the troughs clear so overflow doesn’t rot the fascia behind them.
My fascia is rotting — is the roof leaking?
Not necessarily. Overflowing troughs rot fascia from the outside — damage that often gets blamed on the roof. We check both before quoting either.
Do you provide free estimates?
Yes — call, text or request one online. You get a written quote with the work spelled out, and no obligation.
What areas do you service?
We work across Markham, Unionville, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, Stouffville, Vaughan, Scarborough and North York.
